Photo Dump Part 2

Photo Dump August & September

Blessings!

This is a little late then never but here is a catch up on August and September! August was packed with fun times and there were so many things that made me thank God every chance I had for my family! Jason went out of town twice for week long business trips that would be the reason I am so behind on the blog. Jason is lucky to have a job that doesn't require travel except maybe once a year for 2-3 days I am thankful for that also because Clay and I both were not happy about him being gone. Clay started Mother's Day Out 2 days a week from 9-1 at our church. I hate leaving him but I know he needs to be around other kids at this age and it's crazy how much stuff I can get done in those few hours with my name being called 1,00 times! The first couple of weeks I would drop him off and come home I had no clue what to do with my "free" time. During the summer I hardly ever get free time with Jason working from daylight to dark so I am enjoying it now. I have been cleaning closets, cabinets and anything else that is impossible to do with Clay around. We have been blessed with a amazing teacher Miss Melanie to hear Clay say her name is priceless it's so cute! The first few weeks he would cry when I dropped him off but now he hugs and kisses me but he's ready to play with his friends. Usually the 1st thing he does is goes straight to Melanie and says paint that boy knows he loves to paint:) Clay moved to a big boy Sunday school classroom in August and let's just say the 1st Sunday we got a text from Allison the director saying Clay wasn't happy but it has gotten better.

Congrats to Daddy!

Our blog has gotten pushed to the back burner the past few months while we finished out summer and started fall. I thought this deserved a post on it's own!! Jason got a promotion at work back in August he is now the assistant manager at the Birmingham office. We are so proud of him and how hard he has worked to get where he is now. I am so blesses with such an amazing husband and wonderful father to Clay. I know God trutly has great things planned for our life as a family!

Adventures with Aunt Summer and Lane

Last Monday Summer was off so we decided to take the boys to the zoo and also got to meet up with Demi and Claire. We got there as soon as it opened so it wasn't burning up it poured when we got to the zoo for about 10 mins. then it turned out for the perfect zoo day! The boys and Claire loved the choo choo and then the boys had a blast on the splash pad. Friday night I was reading al.com to see The Mcwane Center was having a 1/2 off day for Shelby CO. residents I have been wanting to take Clay but just wasn't sure how much there would be for him to do. Saturday we loaded the boys up and went to the The Mcwane Center and they had a blast! I am seriously thinking of buying a membership for the winter months! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful friend and for the boys being so close!

Johnson Family Beach Trip

I have so much to catch up on the month of July was busy 2 beach trips and a ton of birthdays! I will have to write several times to catch up on everything! We headed to Destin on Friday night made a pit stop by my NaNa's to stay the night and do a little shopping. Saturday we headed to Destin to meet up with my family and spend the week with them. We had so much wonderful food I felt like I didn't need to eat for weeks after getting home. Clay had a blast the water was so pretty we stayed out in just about the whole day everyday! At night I felt like I was still riding the waves. Tuesday Jason, Clay and I headed for seaside to eat lunch and buy Clay his first Seaside shirt! Jason left Wednesday and we stayed on with my family till Saturday. We got up Saturday to pack the car and Clay kept asking to go to the pool aka the beach. I think we have a little beach bum on our hands! Of course things at the beach were always crazy because there are so many of us but we always have so much fun together! Here are some pictures from our week in Destin.

Good Bye Pappy!!

I thought this deserved a post all on it's own!! Clay has officially been without pappy for 4 days!! We are so proud of him! I have been thinking about it for awhile but to me he's still that little bitty baby so I just couldn't. The past 2 weeks he had gotten really attached to it asking for it all the time so I realized it was time for it to GO! Monday I cut the end off of it and of course he acted like nothing was wrong with it. My first thought was great what the heck do I do now. When he went down for bed that night I just didn't give it to him. He fought his sleep a little that night but not what I thought it would be like. He's only asked for pap once or twice and I just ignore him it works:) hopefully he will do good this week while we are gone I am praying so! We have knocked his bottles down to 2 one at nap and one at bed! I know he's 18 months old but his doctor wanted him to stay on the bottle till 15 months since he was a preemie and on the smaller side. So please everyone pray for us when we get back from vacation we will be getting him off the bottle completely! I know it's going to be hard. This week we have really enjoyed this overcast weather in the morning and rain in the afternoons! We have been getting up and going for a walk/run then heading to the park for awhile! I better get back to packing before nap time is over! Since he has made it almost a week without pappy we are going to the bookstore to buy a prize once he wakes up:)
