Zoo Lights!!

Last year we went to the Zoo lights at the Birmingham Zoo Clay loved it but I think it was the coldest night we had all winter! This year it was so nice it was almost perfect! Our friends Don & Jordan invited us to go since Jordan works at Wells Fargo they sponsor the lights so the night before it opened to the public they had a Wells Fargo family night. It was so nice the lines weren't long except for the carousel and everything was free;) Here are a few photos and a huge thanks to Don & Jordan for letting us tag along!

Christmas In The Valley & The Merry Go Round!

The second weekend in December we always go to Aunt Sue's for Christmas with her and to visit the Merry Go Round. Aunt Sue is my grandmothers twin sister growing up you couldn't tell them apart and this year Clay was pretty confused at first then he realized he had othermamax2 so he figured he would be spoiled even more. Not many people know where the Valley is but it's on the Alabama/Georgia line and they have a merry go round that the city does every year the month of December. I have been going since I was little and I was so excited to carry on the tradition with Clay. Little did I know that when we moved into our house our neighbors who quickly became wonderful friends of ours actually more like family to us. Andy is from the Valley & Summer lived there for a few years growing up. Last year we took the boys to the Merry Go Round together and decided we wanted to keep the tradition going! It was amazing seeing how much they had changed from their 1st visit to this year. We even got Othermama on the merry go round this year!!

Happy 50th Anniversary

The first weekend in December we celebrated my grandparents (Andaddy & Othermama) 50th wedding anniversary. What a huge celebration that is through 50 years they raised 4 crazy but love able girls, have 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild the love they have for all of is amazing! They would do anything for any of us in a heartbeat and wouldn't think twice about! As everyone knows they are VERY dear to my heart and I have been so blessed that they have been able to be apart of Clay's life. We had a little party with family and close friends at Dean & Alli's to celebrate the milestone! Clay ended up getting sick right in the middle of the party and luckily we got pictures before he got sick. We drove all the way home with a child throwing up which was no fun but I am so glad we got to be there just for a short period of time.

Happy Thanksgivng!

One of the things I love about Thanksgiving is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and I have since I was little! We headed to Selma the night before Thanksgiving so I wouldn't miss it and I wanted Clay to see it since this year he would understand it a little more. We had lunch with family before heading to Calera to eat with the Ellison family 2 stops and we were stuffed! In between all the stops and shopping that happened between Thanksgiving and Friday it made me be even more thankful for the things we are blessed to have and our families! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Family Pictures

I have no clue how lucky I got when I ended up having a best friend as an amazing photographer! Some how I talked her into getting up really early on a Sunday morning and going to Selma to take our family pictures. I have been wanting some family pictures taken in Selma for a few years now. Since Selma is where Jason & I grew up all of our lives and has such beautiful locations to take pictures I couldn't wait! The whole weekend was so pretty until Sunday morning we woke up to the wind blowing, overcast and freezing cold!! We went on to Selma 1st stop was the Smitherman Building which Clay wouldn't act right since he was cold we managed to squeeze in a few pics before we headed to Kenan's Mill. Once we got to Kenan's Mill it was like Clay was a different child and we ended up with great pictures! THANK YOU ANGELA!!! New Years Resolution

This year my New Years resolution is to blog at least once or twice a month! I am praying I can keep it up no matter how busy our lives get! I will play catch up with everything we did to end 2012 over the next couple of days. 2012 was a wonderful year for us we had so many blessings and I pray for the same in 2013.
